Derrick co-founded Solid Investments in 2006 and has spent every year since focused on single tenant NNN real estate — primarily representing private investors, family offices, and 1031 exchange buyers in the acquisition of net lease properties. Many of those same clients return years later as sellers, cycling proceeds into their next 1031 exchange.
That focus has produced 225+ closed transactions and more than $1 billion in career volume, spanning single tenant ground leases to nine-figure industrial portfolios, for clients placing capital in stable, high credit environments nationwide.
Derrick has called Florida home for more than 25 years — the last 14 in Sarasota, where he lives with his wife and 13-year-old son. When he's not closing deals, he's usually coaching his son's flag football team, out on the boat, at the beach, or in a hot yoga studio.
Derrick's deal sheet runs from single tenant ground leases to some of the largest last mile industrial closings in the country — including four Amazon Last Mile logistics facilities totaling more than $189 million in career volume.
